MSP 106 is a multi-purpose, single-component adhesive & sealant. BOSTIK MSP106 cures with air humidity to form an elastic adhesive/sealant with excellent resistance to weather and chemicals. BOSTIK MSP106 invisible is free from solvent, silicone and PCB’s. MSP 106 invisible can be coated with paint as defined by DIN 52452, Part 4. However, due to the Large number of coating methods, the paint must be tested first.
Bostik MSP 106 is suitable for gluing a variety of materials used both indoors and outdoors. MSP 106 can be used for sealing joints with low ability to absorb movement.
Substrate: All substrates must be compatible with MSP 106 in accordance with DIN 52452, Part 1; i.e. they may neither contain bitumen nor tar. In the case of plastics, the adhesion and compatibility must be tested in each individual case. It is applicable without primers, e.g. on anodized aluminium, galvanized steel plate, rigid PVC, polystyrene and makrolon.
Substrate: The surface may be slightly humid, but it must be rigid and sound enough.
Application: Apply the adhesive punctually or striped on the surface or the material to be glued. The product should be used as soon as possible after breaking the seal of the packaging.
Open time: Join the materials as fast as possible within 15 minutes (depending on the temperature and the air humidity) the material can still be corrected and then press it on firmly.
Drying time: The bonding gap can be loaded after about 24 hours.
Substrate: The joints must be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease.
Pre-treatment: First, deep joints must be provided with suitable back-fill profile to avoid three flank adhesion. For porous substrates, we recommend our primer BOSTIK 5003; for some metals and plastics we recommend our primer BOSTIK 5004 (refer to Prime Table).
Application: Apply the sealant completely and without air pockets in the joints and smooth it immediately. The product should be used as soon as possible after breaking the seal of the packaging.
